This role acts as the "face of CDHP", managing all aspects at the arena
Arrive atleast 30 minutes before game-time
Coordinate with Arena staff to set flood schedule and check that equipment can be moved during flood
Ensure proper equipment is on-ice (boards, bumpers, nets), U7 play Cross-ice (till January), U8 play half-ice, and U9 full-ice
Assist Timekeeper to ensure teams fill out gamesheets and get them to TimeKeeper if there are back to back games
Assist Timekeeper to ensure teams have opportunity after game to take a photo of the gamesheet especially if there are back to back games
Scan gamesheet using an app like Camscanner and submit gamesheet to CDHP-ca@gmail.com immediately following game (and within 24 hours)
Coordinate movement of equipment during floods, with help of referees/timekeeper, and potentially coaches with proper safety equipment
Coordinate removal/change of equipment during and after block of games, with help of referees/timekeeper, and potentially coaches with proper safety equipment
Train/Mentor/Supervise other officials
Ideally step into TK &/or Ref role when needed due to absence until a replacement can be found
May double as a Referee for full-ice games
Ensure teams fill out gamesheets work with Game Manager as needed
Manage the time to ensure games are shortened or lengthened to fill allotted time for game to finish on-time
Fill out remainder of gamesheet by recording any information required on the gamesheet including tally of goals to assist with Tiering teams (and recording all Officials names)
On goals for modified ice Refs should blow whistle loudly and point at the net and hold that until the Timekeeper acknowledges the goal by raising their hand
Assist Game Manager in providing an opportunity for teams to take a photo of gamesheet after games
Provide completed gamesheet to Game Manager, or perform Game Manager role in submitting form to CDHP-ca@gmail.com immediately following game (and within 24 hours)
Assist as needed to move equipment to/from ice before/between/after block of games
Assist Timekeeper to ensure games are shortened or lengthened to fill allotted time for game to finish on-time
Coordinate with other referees to start the game(s) at the same time
Report penalties to Timekeeper during game or at end of periods as able based on whether there is a 3rd referee on-ice
Assist as needed to move equipment on/to/from ice before/between/after block of games
Apply all the rules/game-procedures of the league during the game
On goals for modified ice Refs should blow whistle loudly and point at the net and hold that until the Timekeeper acknowledges the goal by raising their hand
